MANLIUS -- Authorities in Manlius are asking people to be on the lookout after three Fayetteville-Manlius students reported being approached by a man in a white van.
According to police, the van pulled up to the students around 2:45 Thursday afternoon in the Glen Eagle neighborhood, and the man inside asked if the students wanted a ride. Police say the students then fled to a nearby home.
The van is described as a white full size, "work type" van with no windows and rust along the bottom.
The driver is described as a white male in his mid to late 50's. He's a thin build, has a receding hairline that's gray or light colored, and round glasses.
Police say the man never got out of the van and drove away laughing after speaking to the kids.
Anyone with information is asked to call Manlius Police at (315) 682-2212.
